You should be aware of these things before scheduling your operation.

Endoscopic browlift

It is possible to be curious about the recovery after an endoscopic lift. This procedure is very beneficial. After the procedure, you can return to work and normal activities in one to two weeks. Sometimes, the procedure can take weeks or even months. Here's an overview of what to expect. It is more common for this procedure to heal faster than other forms of plastic surgery.

A patient's brows naturally droop as a result of gravity and exposure to sunlight. As skin ages, the skin's supporting structures are less strong, which can result in skin that is sagging. Lines and wrinkles become more noticeable in this area. To avoid these problems, it is important to have a healthy, well-maintained eyebrow at rest. An ideal brow should be slightly higher in height than the inner. A good eyebrow lift procedure will tighten the skin and adjust the muscles layers.

One-stage forehead reduction/hairline lowering procedure

One-stage forehead/hairline reduction/lowering surgery can create a natural-looking appearance. This procedure is not offered by every plastic surgeon. Dr. Aharonov, however, has performed hundreds of these procedures successfully. Dr. Aharonov will perform a video consultation and examine your face. If you choose, you can return immediately to work.

A typical recovery from a one-stage forehead or hairline reduction surgery requires a little downtime and a compression dressing. While swelling and bruising may occur, it will usually be mild and temporary. Patients may experience some numbness behind their hairline for several weeks. There will typically be some numbness behind the hairline for at least seven days.

Surgical incisions

The type of forehead plastic surgery performed will vary in the types of incisions required. A forehead lift, for example, involves making an incision behind the hairline to separate the forehead skin from the underlying muscles. After removing the excess skin, the incision can be closed with staples, clips, or sutures. To prevent infection and swelling, the patients are given bandages.

Most forehead lifts involve multiple small scalp incisions. Each is less than 1 inch long. The surgeon will then use an endoscope to examine the muscles below the skin. After the underlying tissue is removed the eyebrows will be lifted with temporary fixation screw or sutures. Patients who wish to minimize scarring will appreciate the fact that these procedures leave no visible scarring.

Recovery time

It takes around one week to recover fully from forehead surgery. Patients are advised not to bend over or lift anything heavy for at least two weeks, and should avoid hitting their heads with objects. A few days after surgery, patients should not lie on their stomachs. Some people experience numbness or sensations of tingling after surgery. Smokers should refrain from lifting heavy objects (such as suitcases or cars) because smoking can slow healing and increase the chance of complications.

Swelling is normal and proportional to the severity of the surgery. The face, cheeks, and eyelids may all experience swelling. This is the body’s natural response to surgery and can peak between 2 and 3 days after surgery. Once the skin heals, swelling should decrease quickly. Swelling can prevent a person from smiling, and can cause temporary eyelid discoloration.
